Narasimha Rao believed Vijaya Raje Scindia's assurance on Babri against ministers' advice: Sharad Pawar

Defence minister Sharad Pawar has revealed that former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao believed in assurances from Vijaya Raje Scindia that nothing would happen to the Babri Masjid during the Ram Janambhoomi movement in 1992. This statement was made during the launch of journalist Neerja Chowdhury’s book, 'How Prime Ministers Decide'. Pawar added that Rao was advised against this belief by his minister colleagues as he was convinced that nothing wrong would occur.
