NHRC: Drop 'child porn' for child sexual abuse material in Pocso Act

The National Human Rights Commission has proposed several recommendations to combat online child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in India. They urge the inclusion of Virtual Private Network (VPN) service providers, Virtual Private Servers (VPS), and cloud service providers in the definition of 'intermediary' to strengthen compliance with CSAM-related provisions. The NHRC calls for the expansion of the national database on sex offenders to include CSAM offenders, and they propose prompt removal of CSAM within six hours.
