
The cabinet secretary has urged the Punjab government to take action against stubble burning incidents, which have accounted for 93% of such incidents. The Commission on Air Quality Management will send teams to Punjab and Haryana to monitor crop fires and submit daily reports. With only 60% of harvesting completed in Punjab, the fires are expected to continue for several more days. The Union environment minister blamed the Punjab government for the air pollution crisis in Delhi-NCR.
